Hello,
Please find attached a memo with a few remaining comments to be addressed. I have also
attached a ROW permit application for your contractor to complete. Please submit a signed copy
of this application so I can complete the ROW permit application.
Once the cost estimate is updated I will be able to calculate engineering inspection fees as well as
a bond amount for the project.
I also need one more full set of plans, less the Olympic View Water Sewer District plans for which
you already provided 4 sets.

March 25, 2013 –The cost estimate is currently being reviewed and any comments will follow
these plan corrections.
February 12, 2013 –Response comments state the values have been updated, but I am not able
to find a copy of the estimate within the submittal packet. Please submit for review.
12/6/2012 -Thank you for providing a cost estimate. The estimate will be reviewed inmore
detail once the civils plans are closer to their final form. In an initial review of the document
the following corrections/information was noted:
l.Sidewalk thickness shall be 5 ½” thick (currently shown as 4” in estimate)
m.Sawcut for work within CityROW shall be included in estimate
8/13/2012 comment -Please provide an itemized engineers cost estimate, including units and
unit prices, for both on-site and off-site (right-of-way) improvements, including traffic control.
The City recommends use of the King County Site Improvement Bond Quantity Worksheet.
A bond is required to be placed for all right-of-way improvements. The amount of the bond
o
will be based on 120% of the City approved estimate for all right-of-way improvements.
The City will inform you of the appropriate bond amount after review of the cost estimate.

Inspection fees for thisproject will be calculated at 2.2% of the 120% City approved

estimate for all improvements.

Route will be provided at that time.
February 12, 2013 –Plan not yet submitted.
12/6/2012–Response letter states TCP and haul route plan will be provided by contractor once
selected for project.
8/13/2012 comment -Please submit a traffic control and haul route plan for review and
approval.
Sheet C-000–GENERAL NOTES
1.May 1, 2013 -On 4/15/2013 I received an email showing a revision to this sheet to include a
site map and haul route. While the changes were found to be acceptable, I still need hard
copies of the plans. Please submit 4 copies of this plan sheet.
Sheet C-101–FRONTAGE IMPROVEMENTPLAN
May 1, 2013 –WSDOT is requiring a WSDOT Construction Permit. Has this been obtained
yet? Plans can be redlined to include a note that no work shall begin within the ROW until
this has been secured.

response from them yet.
February 12, 2013 –Copy of plans approved by WSDOT notyet received.
12/6/2012 comment -The City was recently informed by WSDOT that they would like to see
improvement plans that involved removal and replacement of curb sections. Please submit the
frontage improvement plan to WSDOT for review and approval or deferral back to the City.
Sheet C-110–UTILITY PLAN
May 1, 2013 –While reviewing the cost estimate I realized the plans do not specify the

size/type of storm CB’s and Manholes to be installed with the project. Please revise the
Utility Info section to include this additional information.
Please note on plans that DCDV vault shall be located entirely on private property. Please
