STORM 1)Please provide invert elevations for the roof drains at the house so that proper cover can be verified. 2)Please show how the surface water runoff from the driveway will be collected. 3)Please show where the footing drains will outfall to. Additional comments from Jerry Shuster, Stormwater Eng Program Mngr., 1)The calculation for the size of the infiltration trench uses an impervious area of 2,117 square feet. The table above the calculation indicates the site will have 2,019 square feet. Please explain the difference. 2)The geotechnical report indicates a considerable variation in the recommended long-term infiltration rate between the two test pit sample near the proposed infiltration rate. Choosing the highest rate is not size is a better indication of the infiltrating ability of the soil than the other test. By approved. The D 10 averaging the long-term infiltration rates from the Dsize, a rate of 1.2 in/hr is obtained. Use Table 5 in 10 Engineering Handout #E72B to linearly interpolate a sizing factor for a design infiltration rate of 1.2 inches per hour, and size the trench accordingly. 3)Infiltration trench must have a catch basin at the upstream end for solids removal per figure A-3 in Engineering Handout #E72B with a minimum of 1 foot of catch. Frontage Improvements /Driveway 1)It appears that the driveway is close to 14% slope. Please note that per ECDC 18.80.060 the driveway should not exceed 14% slope. 2)The tree located in the right-of-way and driveway shall not be removed. Please revise the plans showing the tree to remain and proper separation from the driveway such as not to damage the tree during construction or final completetion of the project. Please resubmit 3 copies of the revised plans and associated documents with a written response to each item to a Permit Coordinator. Please contact me at 425-771-0220 ext 1321 or by e-mail at jennifer.lambert@ci.edmonds.wa.us if you have specific questions regarding these plan corrections. DATE E-MAILED 9/25/2012 PAGE(2)
