During review of the subject submittal, it was found that the following information, corrections, or
clarifications would need to be addressed. All Handouts and Standard Details referred to in these
comments can be accessed at our website: www.edmondswa.gov by choosing the Government tab and
Public Works| Engineering under Departments:
Please Note: Building Handouts do not include updated Engineering Division Requirements. Refer to
Engineering Handouts for all Engineering Requirements.
1. For site obstruction concerns, fence height shall be limited to three (3) feet within thirty (30)
feet of any corner unless an exception is approved. To obtain an exception, the City Traffic
Engineer must find no sight or obstruction hazard from the street or nearby property. An
exception could allow fences up to 6 feet at the direction of the City Traffic Engineer.
No deviation from these requirements shall be permitted by the City Traffic Engineer without
staff review of the following factors; traffic visibility, sight hazards, private and public safety
considerations, lot shape, location and topography, location of adjacent public and private
structures, including natural features such as treess, shrubs and landscaping.
Please revise plan to show fence height three (3) within thirty (30) feet of the corner of your
property line or contact the Traffic Engineering, Bertrand Hauss, 425-771-0220 to request a
site inspection.
Please resubmit 3 copies of the revised plans/documents to a Development Services Coordinator. Please
