Edmonds Fire Services provides the following comments and corrections in accordance with the
2012 International Fire Code and Edmonds Community Development Code Title 19:
1. Cover Sheet DEFERRED SUBMITTALS
a. Add FIRE STANDPIPE PERMIT-CLASS I
2. Sheets C-200, C-500, A1.1
a. Relocate existing private fire hydrant at match line B-5 to the east or north across fire
lane at match line B-6, C-6, or other approved location not to interfere with GARBAGE
TRUCK AREA. Provide post protection at new location.
b. Temporary or final location fire hydrant shall be available outside construction fence
during construction for existing building protection.
c. During construction maintain 20’ fire lane configuration east to west & north to south.
3. Sheet C-310 DTL3 Delete 200’, add 100’
4. Sheet A2.0, A2.1, A2.2 and A2.3
Provide emergency lighting in stair ways and throughout.
5. Sheet A2.1, A2.2 and A2.3 LEGENDS
Edit SP/HB. Class I standpipe connection only: no hose bib required.
6. Sheet A2.3
Clarify that exit signage will be provided at stair wells visible over vehicle storage.
