Please redline plans or submit three (3) sets of revised plans/documents with a written response to each of the items below to a Permit Coordinator. City of Edmonds handouts and standard details can be referenced on the City website under Permit Assistance. 1)The geotechnical evaluation prepared by PanGEO Inc., dated September 18, 2014, states “All surface water from new impervious surfaces such as walkways, should be collected and carried by way of a tightline to permanent discharge facilities”. Furthermore, ECDC 19.10.070.D (Prohibitions under the Earth Subsidence and Landslide Hazard Areas section of the code) states: “Because of the relationship of groundwater to stability, the discharge of collected surface water or stormwater to the groundsurface or subsurface is prohibited on sites within the earth subsidence and landslide hazard area.” A storm drain easement is shown on the site plan, however, there doesn’t appear to be any existing connections to this system. Please indicate on the plans how the surface water runoff will be tightlined to permanent discharge facilities.
