During review of the subject submittal, it was found that the following information, corrections, or
clarifications would need to be addressed. All Handouts and Standard Details referred to in these
comments can be accessed at our website: www.edmondswa.gov by choosing the “Services” tab and
“Permits and Development”.
1. The simplified sizing system for detention systems is not designed to take additional ground water flows. It
is allowable to collect ground water and connect to the footing drain line or direct to a drywell.
2. Detention System Detail and Detention Tank Sizing have conflicting total pipe measurements.
3. How will homeowner clean debris from the detention pipes that are the furthest from the catch basins?
4. Provide yard drain specification or detail. There shall be a minimum of a 1ft catch in the basin.
5. There is a note regarding reusing the sewer lateral on the plans. If reusing the side sewer please also add the
following note:
“If re-using the exsiting side sewer: property owner must have the condition verified. Provide report to the
City’s Public Works Dept.”
Please resubmit 3 copies of the revised plans/documents to a Development Services Coordinator. Please
