Scope: Remodel interior space
During review of the plans for the above project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes
can be found on the plans; please cloud the changes or additions. It is preferred that only the
affected plan sheets be resubmitted:
1. Call out "Deferred Submittal: Fire Sprinkler Modification Permit, Fire Alarm Modification
Permit".
a. The fire sprinkler heads on site appear to be close to 50 years old. Testing and
or replacement are required at 50 years. NFPA 25 (2014) Section 5.3.
b. The fire alarm system will need to be upgraded to meet current requirements
including notification devices and monitoring if not present.
2. Call out "Update current Fire Department Connection to 4" Stroz adapter with 30 degree
downturn, painted red with white 2" address numbers and appropriate signage per NFPA
13."
3. Update premise ID to meet standard of 12" high, minimum 1" stroke and contrasting
colors. Installation location to be determined by Fire Marshal iff not present or adequate.
4. Update parking lot fire lane markings per standard if required.
5. Call out fire extinguishers with signs, properly spaces and mounted.
6. Call out "Fire Department Contact:
