Subject: Withdrawal of February 5, 2014 SEPA DNS for the Edmonds City Park Project
Dear Interest Party,
The City of Edmonds issued a State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) Determination of Nonsignficance
(DNS) for the City Park Spray Pad project on February 5, 2014. During the comment period, the
Washington State Department of Ecology requested the City withdraw the DNS until Ecology completed
their review of the proposed reuse of water from the new spray feature.
At the February 25, 2014 City Council meeting, it was determined that the scope of the current City Park
project would be altered due to difficulties with the location and permitting process. In particular, the
City is not going forward with the spray pad and water reuse features at this time. As a result of the
changed scope in the project, the City of Edmonds is withdrawing the February 5, 2014 DNS issued for
the project.
