Thank you for submitting an application for a variance from the required side setbacks at 16330 75
Place West in the Single Family Residential (RS-20) zone. I am the planner assigned to your project.
Your application is also known as City of Edmonds file number PLN20110072 (“Dent Variance”).
Your application is considered COMPLETE and has been scheduled for a PUBLIC HEARING before the

City’s Hearing Examiner on THURSDAY JANUARY 12, 2012 at 3:00 PM at 250 5Avenue North in the
City Council Chambers of the Public Safety Complex just across the street from City Hall.
Please let me know immediately if you or a representative will not be able to attend. Staff, the Hearing
Examiner, and members of the audience may have questions about your proposal. If an Applicant (or
representative) is not present when the hearing begins, the item may be moved to the end of the
agenda or continued to a future hearing date. The Hearing Examiner will issue his decision in writing
two weeks after the close of the public hearing.
Now that the application is complete, I will issue a notice of application and hearing. The notices will be
mailed to property owners within 300 feet of the subject site and posted on a large white land use
action sign which you’ll see installed in the near future. I will provide a legal notice to the Everett
Herald and a notice of your project will be published in the newspaper. I will issue a staff report and
make a recommendation to the Hearing Examiner. You will receive a copy of my staff report in the mail
a week prior to your hearing.
