RE: Critical Areas Determination # CRA-2008-61 (22220 92 Avenue West | RS-8 Zone)
Dear Applicant:
On June 24, 2008 I conducted a site visit at the above property in order to make a Critical Areas
Determination. I observed a steep slope in the SW corner of the property at approximately 50%,
which qualifies as a “Landslide Hazard Area” subject to the requirements of ECDC 23.80. I
therefore set the file status to “Study Required.”
Yesterday, I received a copy of a survey of your property from The West Group and it shows
that the slope in the SW corner is under 10’ in height – this means that it is under the threshold
for a geologically hazardous area. I have subsequently reset the status of your file to “Waiver,”
meaning that the Planning Division does not consider there to be any critical areas on or adjacent
to the subject site.
