We have had no success pursuing even small anchor easements here, so achieving 10’ setbacks would probably require eminent domain. Pole Placement A. Proposed approved. B. Proposed approved. Comment date 3/1/17 - Possibly this pole can be placed east into the alley obtaining the 10’ set back from the right of way. If this cannot be achieved, please explain why and provide the furthest set back distance. 10’ from traveled lane obtained C. Proposed approved. D. Can this pole be placed further west, behind the “SLOW” sign? Pole is near a private driveway can the pole be placed west of the current location? Pole will be 12’ west of current location, placing it on property line. Cannot go further west without secondary trespass. Maybe the SLOW sign could move? Comment date 3/1/17 - Beside the required 10’ set back from the right of way (please see attached email from 2/2/17 and provide a response) How far can this pole be set (placing the pole further west) from the existing private driveway. 12’ is best we can do. Best location for us and you, due to concrete water way that goes down to the creek. Pictures attached E. Proposed approved. F. Proposed approved. G. Can this pole be placed south of existing? This would place the pole further from the private driveway. Moving south would interfere with landscaping. Without a complaint from the resident I don’t see much point to moving away. Comment date 3/1/17 - See comments emailed 2/2/17.. we will move tight south 1-2’. Use existing anchor H. The proposed pole placement is 2’ closer to edge of road. Please explain why the pole is proposed to be placed closer to the edge of the road. Can this pole be placed tight to the north? New location still meets setback and makes it easy to transfer underground taps. Comment date 3/1/17 - See comments emailed 2/2/17.. set tight SE I. Proposed approved. J. Proposed approved. 2 K. Will this pole need to be placed further north? To meet alignment with poles J & K? Alignment is fine. Comment date 3/1/17 - See comments emailed 2/2/17. Moving 2’ NW L. The existing pole is currently at 10’ from edge of pavement. The proposed places the pole at approximately 8.5’. Why is this pole not scheduled to be set in place? Was trying to avoid landscaping. Can set in place if necessary. Comment date 3/1/17 - See comments emailed 2/2/17.. setting in Place M. Proposed approved. N. Proposed approved. O. Can this pole be placed to the north vs. northwest? This will place the pole 2’ from back of curb, meeting the city requirement NW still meets 2’ and fixes slight trespass issue. Comment date 3/1/17 - See comments emailed 2/2/17. Set 2’ north P. Is the full separation, anchor to pole required? Is this pole and anchor not in line with the alley right of way? Can the city’s 2’ separation from back of curb (from Pine St.) be achieved? If the pole and anchor are moved back would it require removal of the bush to the south? Looks like this anchor pole can be placed further south within the alley right of way. Pole needs to be placed 10’ from face of curb. Moving pole 7’ south, 2’ west, behind mail box, backed up against r/w. Q. Proposed approved. R. Proposed approved. S. Pole not being replaced. T. City storm line runs north from catch basins, make sure to call for locates. Proposed approved. U. Proposed approved. V. New pole locations are not permitted. Existing pole is unacceptably overloaded and alternatives are limited. Not taller and placed to avoid sightline issues from nearby houses. Comment date 3/1/17 - No new poles are permitted within the right of way, you may need to bring the existing nearby poles closer together. removed W. Can this pole be placed further north, away from Fir St? The pole is already on the edge of the RoW and relying on prescriptive rights to remain. Set in place X. Proposed approved. Y. Proposed approved. Z. Pole not being Replaced. AA. Proposed approved. AB. Proposed approved. AC. This pole will need to be placed approximately 5’-6’ to the north and 2’ to the east, so that if the sidewalk to the west along Elm Way were extended, the new pole will be behind the sidewalk. Okay, will do. Done AD. Can this pole be placed further north? Meeting the 2’ back of curb requirement. 2’ NE Traffic Control A similar traffic control plan is needed for locations O & AD as well.
