eng20090324-ROW-Center for Arts-1.pdf DATE: November 19, 2009 TO: Jeff Vaughn Edmonds Center for the Arts jeff@ec4arts.org FROM: Jeanie McConnell, Engineering Program Manager RE: Application #: eng20090324 Project: Center for the Arts – Storm Revision th Project Address: 410 4 Ave N Jeff, Please respond to the following comments and redline plans or submit three (3) sets of revised plans/documents with a written response to each of the items. 1.The plans indicate the new storm line will be located in the area of the existing stairs on the east side of the building. Will the storm line be bored for through this section or will the stairs be removed and replaced? Removal and replacement of the stairs may require a building permit from the Building Division. Please contact Leif Bjorback, Assistant Building Official, with questions you may have regarding the stairs. Leif can be reached by e-mail at bjorback@ci.edmonds.wa.us or by phone at 425.771.0220 x1380. 2.All storm improvements are to be located on private property. The plans show a portion of the storm tightline system within the City right-of-way on Daley Street. Please revise accordingly. 3.Please clarify the use of the pavement area on the east side of the building. A sidewalk is shown in this area, however there are dashed lines shown on the west side of the sidewalk as if to indicate parking stalls. 4.It appears as though there will be sufficient clearance between the storm line crossings in the th gutter line on 6 Ave, however exact elevations have not been provided. Please add a note to plans that states the engineer of record shall be contacted if conflicts arise in the field. 5.Please add a note to the plans requiring a compaction test report be submitted to the City for the th storm trench section in 6 Ave prior to paving. Please contact me at 425-771-0220 or by e-mail at mcconnell@ci.edmonds.wa.us if you have specific questions regarding these plan corrections. Thank you, Jeanie eng20090324-ROW-Center for Arts-1 Page 1 of 1
