During review of the subject submittal, it was found that the following information, corrections, or
clarifications would need to be addressed. All Handouts and Standard Details referred to in these
comments can be accessed at our website: www.edmondswa.gov :
Please Note: Building Handouts do not include updated Engineering Division Requirements. Refer to
Engineering Handouts for all Engineering Requirements.
Storm/Utility—ROW
The following are comments from the City’s operations managers.
Storm:
1. The storm main extension from the two properties and from the proposed catch basin #3 to
the existing catch basin is called out as 10”. The existing catch basin has an 8” outfall. If it is
not possible to reduce the proposed storm pipe to 8”, please provide a downstream analysis
showing that the 8” outfall pipe can handle the additional flow.
Sewer:
1. The sewer lateral connections to the sewer main shall be wye connections. Please revise on
plans.

2. The connection from 18122 86 should be a straight pipe connection to the main. In others
words the 6” proposed clean out shown in the cul de sac is not needed-the 6” clean out the
City requires should be at the property line. This line should bypass the existing clean out and
make a wye connection at the same location that the 18129 lateral connects. Please revise
plans.
