Dear Mr. Clugston:
Thank you for the opportunity to comment on this Determination of Non -Significance. The Department
of Ecology (Ecology) reviewed the environmental checklist and has the following comment(s):
Approved TMDL
This lake has an existing Water Quality Improvement Plan or Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL)
addressing total phosphorus. At minimum, phosphorus control and treatment consistent with Ecology's
Stormwater Manual for Western Washington (February, 2005) should be implemented. In addition,
Department of Ecology's TMDL website at www.ecy.wa. ov/programs/wq/tmdI should be consulted for
any phosphorus loading limits which may exist as a result of the TMDL. Compliance with load and
wasteload allocations and implementation of Best Management Practices for the proposed project are
needed in order to avoid further degradation of lake water quality.
