Dear Ms. Fedorean,
The City has received a complaint regarding chickens being raised at the subject property
noted above. You may not have been aware of the Edmonds ordinance regulating the
keeping of poultry and covered animals in residential zones.
The Edmonds Community Development Code (ECDC) addresses poultry as follows:
Animal Section: ECDC 17.35.040 – Keeping of poultry and covered animals in
residential zones prohibited (unless a permit received from previously registering
between February 5, 2001 and August 6, 2001)
Corrective actions required:
Please contact me at your earliest convenience by April 10, 2007 to confirm
receipt of this letter.
Any poultry will need to be removed from the property at your earliest
convenience by April 15, 2007.
If you have any questions or need any information please call me. Thank you in advance
for your cooperation and assistance. I will be out of the office on April 9, 2007.
