Hello Leif,
The contractors building at 16404 75th PI W., Edmonds (permit blc120151559) have been asked on numerous
occasions to not use the private driveway serving the residences 16319, 16315 and16311 for turn around or
staging of trucks. I have personally asked them at least 6 times while having to endure much opposition from
truck drivers calling me names and getting belligerent. My neighbor has also asked the contractors to not use
the driveway for this purpose. When I notice is a concrete pour happening I will park my pickup at the end of
the driveway to prevent the heavy trucks from using it as a turn -a -round. I have seen some concrete trucks
squeezing their trucks in anyway going up on the curb. As you know this being a landslide hazard area the
driveway maintenance including the curbs can be costly. I want to prevent our private driveway from enduring
any extra loads which do not benefit the properties it serves.
Today there was a delivery truck from Probuild (USDOT #400989) fully loaded which stopped blocking the
driveway, so to prevent them from using the driveway for a turn -a -round I placed my pickup at the end of the
driveway. This truck driver then decided to squeeze into the driveway to turn a round with my pickup there.
The fully loaded delivery truck ended up on the curb with the fully loaded rear tires. I went to confront
the truck driver who then jumped out of the truck and began yelling at me calling a privileged prick and an
asshole and that I have no right to block my driveway, getting with -in 6" from my face . He told me that there
is no sign showing private driveway. We then walked to the side of his truck so I could show him the Private
driveway sign which has been in place since before we owned the property in 2009. The sign was about 10"
from the side of his truck as the truck was still up on the curb. We then went to the representative of the
general contractor to inform him that our driveway is not to be used by their heavy trucks. This individual then
started to call me an asshole and started to video record the event. This individual stated that our driveway is
the only place to turn around which is untrue.
We made a call to Edmonds police to report the event. The Probuild truck left the site without unloading prior
to the police arriving. When the police arrived we told him our account of the events. I have informed the
manager of the Probuild branch (Brandon Huff) that if I see that driver near me or on my property again that I
will consider it a threat and call the police directly.

Please be advised that our driveway is not to be used by the contractor or any of their subcontractors or
delivery/concrete trucks. If we see any future damage or cracking of the curbs or driveway we will require the
City of Edmonds to hold the contractors bond to pay for any required repairs. Additionally if there is any
vandalism to our property we will assume that the contractor, contractors' employees and/or Probuild
company may be held accountable for any damages.
