GeoTech letter dated 7-26-07.pdfDennis M. Bruce, M.S.C.E., M.B.A. July 26, 2007 City of Edmonds c/o Art Gerdes 7418169th PI SW Edmonds, WA 98026 P.E. Geotechnical/Civil Engineer Subject: Geotechnical Clarification — Final Inspections CITY 0I- po a s 0 r This engineering letter clarifies final geotechnical inspections (see July 26, 2007 report) for the recently completed Gerdes new residence at 7418 169th PL SW (plan check # 2006 -- 0659) As discussed in the July 96, 2007 final report, all special geotechnical inspection items have been properly completed except for the permanent erosion control measures. It is understood that property owner (Dr. Art Gerdes) proposes to install permanent landscaping and erosion control measures in the coming months. This engineer has no objection to delaying permanent erosion control measures as long as they are completed by October 31, 2007 (stark of rainy season). The Gerdes property is currently stable. The perimeter siltation fencing is still in place and provides excellent erosion control. However, it is essential that the permanent erosion control measures and landscaping be properly completed .by October 31, 2007. Discussions with City of Edmonds (Janine Graf) clarified that Mr. Gerdes should post a bond to verify with the City of Edmonds that the future landscaping measures will actually be completed. It is understood that Mr. Gerdes and / or his contractor will follow through with the appropriate bond paperwork.
