Subject: Holy Rosary Parish Pre-App
The project was reviewed under the 2006 IFC with Washington State Amendments
and the ECDC.
1) Project requires an NFPA 13 Fire Sprinkler System throughout.
2) Fire Alarm for sprinkler monitoring and occupant notification required plus other
devices.
3) On the Civils the fire line vault will need to be moved out by the entrance drive
th
off 7 Ave N. The FDC and PIV will be located in this area also.
4) Due to existing hydrant spacing and required fire flow for the building a fire
hydrant will be required and located within 50 feet of the FDC.
5) Fire Connection Permit is required and must be issued with the main building
permit (this is not a deferred submittal).
6) Portable fire Extinguishers are required/minimum size 2A10:B:C and spaced so
maximum travel distance is no more than 75 feet from any building location.
7) Deferred submittals are Fire Sprinkler, Fire Alarm, Fire Protection Foot Print, Life
Safety Plan, Fire Suppression System for the Type 1 Hood and Fire Lane
Stripping requirements.
8) At the start of construction the building owner shall designate a Fire Prevention
Program Superintendent. Contact my office for more details and
responsibilities.
As plans are submitted and changes made other requirements may surface.
