Dear Mr. Hunt,
The City received a complaint on the subject property regarding the following:
Commercial vehicles over 10,000 pounds gross weight stored at the property or on the public right-of-way.
The vehicles noted in the complaint are “H.D. Excavators” and a “Pilchuck Contractors” vehicles.
Commercial vehicles in residential zones are regulated in the Edmonds Community Development Code (ECDC) as
follows:
17.50.100 Commercial vehicle regulations.
. No person shall park or store more than one commercial vehicle or any commercial vehicle over 10,000

pounds licensed gross vehicle weight
per dwelling unit on any lot in any R zoned district unless he/she has first
obtained a conditional use permit. For the purposes of this section, “commercial vehicle” means any motor vehicle, the
principal use of which is the transportation of commodities, merchandise, produce, freight, vehicles, animals,
passengers for hire, or which is used primarily in construction or farming, including but not limited to bulldozers,
backhoes, tractors and cranes.
Corrective actions required by April 22, 2005.
If you are interested in parking more than one commercial vehicle or a commercial vehicle over 10,000
pounds gross weight in a residential zone, please apply for a conditional use permit or;
Remove any commercial vehicle over 10,000 pounds gross weight.

Dear Mr. Hunt,
An inspection was made on May 3, 2005. At that time a commercial vehicle over 10,000
pounds gross weight remained present. If you have any questions regarding this regulation
please contact me before May 10, 2005. Please maintain the corrective actions noted above
by May 10, 2005. The next step in the enforcement process will be to issue an Order to
Correct Violation Notice. Thank you.
