Dear Ms. Rose;
I have reviewed the plan submitted for the tenant improvement work for Dr. Kitts dental office in the Old

Mill Town building. I have the plan for building permit issuance. There are a couple of items
that will need attention as the project proceeds.
The operation of the accessible entrance door (using the existing construction) needs to be
specified and approved. It appears that the intent is to use a remote activation system, but how
this is to function is unclear. Please provide details for field verification and approval.
The plan set did not include mechanical sheets. It is assumed that this will be a separate submittal
from the HVAC contractor, which is acceptable. Please ensure that the submittal addresses
equipment efficiencies for the energy code and any fire/smoke damper assemblies for
penetrations of the rated partitions.
The plans show 1-hour duct wrap for the ducts serving the medical gas closet. Provide the
specifications of the proposed product for approval prior to installation.
