Letter of Reason.pdfWG.CLARK CONSTRUCTION CO. TO: City Of Edmonds ATTN: Christina Wayland RE: Noise Variance for Westgate Village Project Christina, 4/6/18 We are applying for a noise variance for the Westgate Village Project located at 10032 Edmonds Way (Permit # BLD20161538). This includes days that we have large concrete slab or deck pours that take up to 15 hours to place and finish. We have identified six days that we anticipate will need this variance as outlined below. On these days we would like to bring in the concrete pump truck at 5AM and set it up and at 6 AM. Truck deliveries and pumping operations will start early to ensure we can complete finishing before 8pm. Also, in warmer weather we need to have the concrete placed before the midday hot sun that will cause it to cure too fast and can lead to a poor product. The noise generated by this operation will be primarily running engine noise from the pump truck and concrete trucks entering and leaving the site. Traffic should not be impacted as the truck arrivals will be staggered and we are off of the right of way. There are no public safety issues as we are inside a fenced perimeter. The only public impact will be morning truck engine noise and later evening power trowel engine noise similar to a lawn mower. The current proposed dates are 4/25, 5/21, 5/31, 6/4, 6/26 and 7/16. These days may change as we progress through the project and we will notify you if that happens. Thank you for your consideration and contact me with any questions. Sincerely, A'w- Murph (Rex) Cruse Superintendent W.G. Clark Construction 206-909-0071 1945 Yale Place East Seattle, WA 98102 phone 206.624.5244 www.wgclark.com
