DuringourpreliminarymeetingwiththeCityofEdmonds,likelysometimebackin2012,weweretold thatatopographysurveywasnotrequired.Becauseofthat,wewentandshotelevationsoftheloton ourownwithalaserlevelandcreatedourowntopography.Inthisinitialinstance,weusedaproperty cornerasthebenchmark. Aftertheinitialreview,itwasrequestedthatwechangethebenchmarktothecatchbasininthe driveway.Thetopographywaschangedtocomplywiththisrequestalongwithotherchanges,towhich apermitwasissued. Asconstructionstarted(excavation),thecontractorͻĻƭͼshotsomenewelevationsattheperimeter ofconstructionandweusedthosetorecheck/evaluatetheacceptableheight.Theseweredifferent fromtheelevationsthatwereontheplanbecausetheoriginaltopographywasmodifiedandnotreshot whenthebenchmarkwaschanged.TheseelevationsareontherevisedSiteplandocuments. Iamsorryfortheinconveniencethishascaused.Becauseweweretoldtherewouldbenotopographical surveyrequired,thereźƭƓƷoneinexistence.Ifthereisanythingwecandotoallowconstructionto continue,pleaseletmeknow.
