Dear Mr. Allen: Thank you for submitting the updated information requested in my letter of August 21. After reviewing the information, there seems to be a discrepancy in the legal descriptions of the parcels in question relative to the information available through the Snohomish County Assessor’s Office. As it is written on the face of the proposed plat, the old legal description indicates that the entire Old Milltown complex is on a single lot. If that were the case, the new legal descriptions for Lots A and B would result in the creation of two lots – a subdivision. Since that was not the th intent of the your proposal, I checked the Snohomish Assessor’s records for 201 5 Avenue South to verify. Their records indicate that two parcels exist currently with the line between them being the centerline of the vacated alley. In fact, on the submitted plat, there is an arrow to an “Old Lot Line” in the middle of the vacated alley but there is no line indicated. To resolve the confusion, please update the legal descriptions for the existing lots and show their areas on the plat. Also, the plat will need to be modified to indicate the “Old Lot Line” and how the lots appear currently. Finally, the change to the existing lots will affect how the final areas for Lots A and B so please update those as well. If you have any questions, please contact me at 425-771-0220 (x1330). Also, the Edmonds Community Development Code is available online at www.ci.edmonds.wa.us and by clicking “QuickLinks”. Sincerely, Mike Clugston Planner
