Dear Ms. Parker,
The City has received a complaint regarding a separate apartment unit developed at the subject property.
According to the City's Street files, you had signed and recorded the Statement on Accessory Dwelling
Units (ADU), recognizing that developing a 2"d unit required a permit and was otherwise prohibited. The
Planner who had reviewed Building Permit # 2007-0878 had advised you of the dwelling unit restrictions
of the RM -3 zone and the requirements and zoning agreement of the contract rezone at this parcel.
Accordingly, the residence will need to be converted back to single family. The City will need to review a
plan as the apartments are currently set up and a plan detailing the changes to be made to convert the
building back to a single family residence. Complete and unimpeded access to all parts of the residence is
required to be maintained. A new building permit will need to be acquired for review of the plans and
inspection of the final changes. You may want to review your submittal requirements with the Building
Division before submitting.
Corrective Actions required:
• Please contact me by September 23, 2011.to confirm receipt of this information. An Order to
Correct is issued if no contact is made.
® Please complete your building permit application by October 5, 2011. Please note that additional
fees may apply due to the violation.
