• Not too close to the marsh — need a wider buffer.
• Have good signage as an approach to marsh, which
educates as to proper conduct/uses of trail/

wild inhabitants. Promote sensitivity to the right
of the wildlife to have areas that are away from
human disturbance.

Doesn't this already exist via current streets &
walks/sidewalks?
Excellent idea. Connections are important because
people visiting the downtown retail area could also
go to the marsh. That could increase the amount
of time and money that visitors spend in Edmonds.

I would recommend using native vegetation in
the landscaping plan and perhaps a "rain garden".
Walkways could be constructed of pervious paving
materials. Good landscaping and adequate open
space would decrease the amount of stormwater
entering the marsh. The beauty of good
landscaping benefits all.

This is a much better approach than scattering

parking throughout the site. You might consider
putting a "green roof' on the garage.
• Who defines "NW Style"? Used to mean using lots
of natural materials & colors/wood playing a role.
Not CA's idea of West Coast. The NW Idea of West
Coast. NW Coast. Also, no east coast lighthouse
stuff! Thanks.
Other Comments
• Parking structure should be below ground.
• Water run-off from site should be treated & recycled as much as possible.
• What CTR efforts will be made to reduce carbon footprint produced by project?
• Transit access should be enhanced.
• I am willing to have 40' or 50' buildings and a smaller footprint. That would increase the amount of open space.
• Prefer concept 2.
