Response: Plans have been updated 2 Energy Code (notes) - Change on the plans the provided information regarding existing' construction to reflect the requirements of the currently adopted version of the Washington State Energy Code (WSEC). Response: Plans have been updated 3 Plumbing Fixtures (notes) a. Clarify on the plans the difference in the indicated occupant load used to determine the minimum required plumbing fixtures and of that determined using the appropriate occupant load factors' assigned to the applicable `functions of space' per IBC Table 1004.1.2 to that represented on the plans. Response: Plans have been updated b. Change on the plans the code table reference and the provided information regarding the minimum number of required plumbing fixtures to reflect that found in the currently adopted version of the IBC. Response: Plans have been updated c. Change on the plans the code reference and the provided information regarding the installation of drinking fountains to reflect that found in the currently adopted version of the IBC and to the response to plan review comments regarding the occupant load. Response: A dual height drinking fountain has been added 4 Project Description - Note 1 - Alterations to the structure at the above referenced address have been proposed under permit BLD2015-1378 that when completed would result in the location of spaces, and their associated fixtures/appliances, different than that proposed under this permit. Clarify on the plans the difference in the indicated occupant load and Df that determined using the appropriate `occupant load factors' assigned to the applicable `functions of space' per IBC Table 1004.1.2 to that represented on the plans. Response: Plans have been corrected b. Change on the plans the code table reference regarding the minimum number of required exits to that found in the currently adopted version of the IBC. Response: Plans have been corrected c. Change on the plans the code table reference regarding the exit access travel distance to that found in the currently adopted version of the IBC. Response: Plans have been corrected 6 Detail 1 - RCP and Lighting Plan - Indicate on the plans the required occupancy sensor control installation for the lighting in the Storage' area to the north of the 'Lab' and for the lighting in the Work/Chart Area' per WSEC C405.2.1. Response: Note 5' Indicating occupancy sensor had been added 7 Detail 2 - Tenant Improvement Plan a. a. Indicate on the plans any furnishings, shelving, or racks that may be installed in each of the spaces to guide proper installation and for review and inspection of the means of egress and accessibility provisions. Any shelving/racks that exceed 6 feet in height must be seismically anchored per American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) chapter 15. Response: A note has been added to Tenant Improvement Plan 1/A2.1. We have also shown a typical patient room furniture arrangement as well as anticipated furniture layout of the reception/waiting room and break area b. Clarify on the plans the indicated width of the west -most 'corridor'. It does not appear to provide the required maneuvering clearance per ICC A117.1- 2009 Section 404.2.3/sheet'A4.1' - Detail 5 - Door Approach - at the doors to the Patient Rooms' and to the 'Toilet Room' when door closers are installed. 6175 1h Avenue South BLD2017-0179 Plan Review Corrections Page 2of4 Response: Door closures are not installed on any of the doors on the project. Detail S/A4.1 has been updated and a note has been added indicating no closures are used c. Clarify on the plans the represented width of the wall adjacent to and parallel to the door in the closed position at the south end of the west -most corridor'. It does not appear to provide the required maneuvering clearance from the push side' per ICC A117.1-2009 Section 404.2.3/sheet 'A4.1' - Detail 5 - Door Approach - when a door closer is installed. Response: Door closures are not installed on any of the doors on the project. Detail 5/A4.1 has been updated and a note has been added indicating no closures are used d. Clarify on the plans the represented width of the wall adjacent to and parallel to the door in the closed position at the exterior door of the `Break Area'. It does not appear to provide the required maneuvering clearance from the pull side' per ICC A117.1-2009 Section 404.2.3/sheet 'A4.1' - Detail 5 - Door Approach. Response: Door closures are not installed on any of the doors on the project. Detail 5/A4.1 has been updated and a note has been added indicating no closures are used e. Indicate on the plans the required minimum clearance depth for the water closet in the south -most Toilet Room' per ICC A117.1-2009 Section 604.3.2,. Typically represented/specified dimensions are from `face-of-framing/stud' and does not account for the installation of wall finish materials. Response: Plans have been corrected f. Indicate on the plans the accessible sales and service counter in the Reception/Waiting' area meeting the requirements of ICC A117.1-2009 section 904.1. Response: Counter has been added to the drawings g. Change on the plans the 'enlarged plan' detail callouts for each of the `Toilet Rooms' to correspond with those found on sheet 'A4.1'. Response: Plans have been corrected 8 Detail 2 - Enlarged Toilet Room Plan - Clarify on the plans the specified minimum clearance depth for the water closet. It does not comply with ICC A117.1-2009 Section 604.3.2. Verify the represented/specified dimension accounts for the installation of wall finish materials.
