date May 19, 2015. Your original comment letter is enclosed for reference.

radius for turning. Fire apparatus access lane extents for both the parent and bus/staff

The Fire Department provides the following comments and corrections per the 2012 International
Fire Code and Edmonds Community Development Code Title 19 for site work at elementary school.
1. Sheet C4.01 Reviewer sees reduction to 10' along west entry that appears to reduce the 20'
clear width originally provided for fire access. Maintain 20' width and 13'6" vertical clearances
along fire apparatus access roads.
2. Sheet 04.01 Overlay turn radii along north loop showing 25' interior radius and 45' exterior
radius for fire apparatus.
3. Sheet C4.01 Demolition of concrete ramp is noted at gate. Show how fire apparatus access will
be maintained to FH at SE corner of property. See SV0.03
4. Sheet C4.01 Restripe all fire lanes.
5. Sheet C4.01 Note all impediments to fire apparatus access to school. Reviewer will evaluate all
restrictions to expedient access.
Please revise plans once all city comments have been received and resubmit corrected sheets.
