Comments provided 2/14/18, were with the intent to keep that proposed alignment. That alignment being the new communications line for Comcast sitting between the city's sewer and water mains, the vaults proposed within the latest submittal (on the south side of the street) will not be acceptable within the alignment between the city sewer and water mains. The city's required 5' horizontal separation from its utilities may not be achieved for the proposed communications line though would be acceptable. Please provide the city with an updated site plan showing the proposed route with the same alignment as the existing underground alignment. Please show that city's mains and service lines will be potholed, also need to show gas and dry utilities. As mentioned before, the use of the city's GIS systems for preparing and providing the city with a site plan is not acceptable and more specifically not acceptable when proposing new communications lines parallel within the right of way. For runs parallel with the right of way such as the proposed, plans need to be provided to the city from a combination of locates provided on site which are consistent with utility appurtenances (i.e. man holes, catch basins, water valves, water meters, etc.) at the surface and with the GIS maps for verification purposes only (not solely GIS maps).
