REVISED SCOPE OF WORK.pdfWilliam J. Barnsdale, Jr. 13725 Puget Sound Blvd Edmonds, WA 98026-3217 arnsda1a.bfl11 cx gmaH. om March 2, 2017 Development Services City of Edmonds 121 5th Ave Edmonds, WA 98020 Re: Permit Number: BLD2013-0539 Remodel & Addition Site Address: 1813386 th Place West Expiration Date: 9/13/2016 (Expired) Sirs: The purpose of the attached Residential Building Permit Application, dated today, is to: 1. Limit the scope of work of permit number BLD2013-0539 as indicated below, and 2. Provide for a `final inspection' of the single family residence remodeled under that 2013 permit. Background: We originally submitted the 2013 home owner permit in order to gut and remodel the residence (Phase 1) and then build three `pop -outs' or additions - an expanded kitchen, expanded powder room and a new master bedroom suite — (Phase 11). Only Phase I work has been done. No work on Phase II has been done except as noted below in "Scope of Work", item #2. It is our intent to reapply at some future date to build the three `pop -outs' or additions once funding is available. At that time "as-builts" for Phase I will be made available. The Scope of Work of Phase I: 1. Gut to the studs the existing building in order to upgrade the electrical system and fully re -wire (under separate State permit), remove all galvanized pipe and install copper water lines, add insulation, remove radiators & furnace and add HVAC, add natural gas, add fiber optic, install all new sheet rock and double glazed windows, install an on -demand hot water system and change all doors. A temporary kitchen was added in the basement as the original main floor kitchen was entirely removed. The exterior finishes, gutters and roof were not altered other than to add code required exhausts for the HVAC, add one entry hall skylight and add kitchen and bath exhaust fans. 2. All utilities were 'up-sized' to accommodate the added square footage proposed in Phase II. Electrical, water, drains, communications (low voltage), HVAC duct feeds and some minor framing work was created in preparation for each of the three Phase II future `pop -outs' or additions. It is our intent that the final inspection we are now requesting will cover the entire Scope of Work for Phase I.
