We were unable to complete a full inspection at that time due to construction equipment/vehicles in the right of way. We performed a complete final inspection on 1/21/09. I have highlighted in red what is still needed to be completed before we can sign off and release the bond. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you, collinsj@ci.edmonds.wa.us ----Original Message----- From: Collins, Jennifer Sent: Wednesday, December 17, 2008 3:13 PM To: 'John Harvey'; McConnell, Jeanie Subject: RE: Septic Tank Receipt John, Thank you for the letter from TE Briggs. We will attach it to the demo permit. Unfortunately the items other than was was specifically noted can not be added to the bond. The Control Tee (is this what you meant by check valve??) must be completed prior to final approval. The control tee slowly releases water from your detention into the city system. If we have any substantial water flow in the next few weeks this could cause the city system not to work properly. Also, the mudding of the CB's and the fees due must be taken care of prior to final approval. We also saw that the CB on the East side of Birch Street had filter fabric NOT a filter sock. Please replace the filter fabric with the filter sock. The filter socks will need to remain in the CB's until all work has been completed. Items that will need to be completed that are under the bond are: 1) Completion of the driveway - Complete 2) Right of Way Restoration - Mudding of risers and pick holes in CB's in ROW - Risers need to be mudded & clay brick must be removed - All CB's must be clean of debris - Complete - The asphalt along the west side of the paved right of way is unraveling and must be removed and replaced per city standards - Not Addressed - The slope behind the SW CB in the right of way must be backfilled with crush rock to a slope of 2 to 1 - 1/22/2009 MessagePage 2of 4 Not Addressed - Patch across Birch St needs to be resealed. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. collinsj@ci.edmonds.wa.us -----Original Message----- From: John Harvey \[mailto:JohnH@bdap.com\] Sent: Wednesday, December 17, 2008 1:37 PM To: McConnell, Jeanie Cc: Collins, Jennifer Subject: RE: Septic Tank Receipt Jeanie, Attached is the letter from TE Briggs noting decommissioning. I understand we have two more items to address when the weather clears (Check valve and mud around basin). Can we tie these to the bond as well so we can complete all of this work at the same mobilization? Thanks for working with us so closely and helping through the process to get us in by Christmas, Pam and I really appreciate it. Let me know if you need me to come down if we need to add the verbiage to the bond in place for the other two items. I need to know how it was decommissioned - was it filled and the lid collapsed or was it removed? Please obtain a performance bond for the total cost to complete the driveway improvements (I noticed the bid total does not yet include sales tax). Once the bond has been accepted by the Engineering Division you can call for your final inspection. You can ask for me when you come in to drop off the bond paperwork, but if I'm unavailable please ask that the bond be given to me. Please let me know if you have any questions.
