Thanks, J -----Original Message----- From: Chesterfield, Blaine Sent: Wednesday, August 01, 2007 11:29 AM To: McConnell, Jeanie Cc: Fiene, Don Subject: RE: Shubin residence Jeanie, I spoke with Scott this morning on the phone. Scott said that he will upsize the detention system volume for both his clients new impervious and the impervious for the existing house on lot 2. Scott said that he will size the system to a 10-year release rate with a 25-year volume (which was the standard used for that development). Since this is a unique situation and the client is offering to make up for the existing developments short comings the city will allow the use of the previous standard. Two key factors for allowing this modification is that the downstream system is capable of handling the 100-yr Future Landuse flows (Per the Meadowdale Drainage Investigation) and the system is piped directly to the sound. Please put a copy of this email in the file. He is working on the Shubin property on 75th Pl W, part of the Carl Pearson development. In our plan corrections to them in review of the SFR, we asked them to provide calcs, info, etc. to show that the existing detention was sized adequately for the impervious are they are adding to the property. After reviewing what data the owner could come up with it appears as though is was not sized properly. Scott would like to propose adding additional pipe, but would like to follow the guidelines of the old manual, the manual in which the original detention was constructed. Is this something you would be okay with? Please call Scott & 360-794-7811. I guess the owner is trying to resubmit plans to us on Friday.
