BLD 2011-0457 — Baicha Tea Room, 622 Fifth Ave. S, Edmonds
On your submitted plan, there is an indication of a trash collection area located at the rear
of the building outside the lower level. I am requesting that you provide more information
and detail on what you intend to construct there. There are minimum standards for
construction of trash enclosures and thus becomes part of the review process.
I am aware there is limited space available and the outside of the lower level is adjacent to
residential properties that may be affected by additional structure in that general area. The
local waste hauling company also faces limitations servicing those customers located at the
bottom of the sloped alleyway.
I suggest you contact me (see above) and discuss your intent on this area. It may be that
there would be no screening required unless you want to pursue such. It is necessary to got
a picture of what your waste collection needs inay be and how best to get the service you
expect within the constraints of this site.
