RE: Chelgrin Residence Remodel
To whom it may concern:
As requested, I have reviewed the existing foundation for new information provided by the
owner. It is my understanding the existing perimeter foundation is at least 36" deep with a 5" thick
stem wall and 10" footing toe, and the interior footings are at least 36" deep with a 5" thick stem wall
and 5" footing toe. Based on these dimensions, the five new undermined footings shown on the
foundation plan are not required provided the existing foundation is in adequate condition for load
bearing ie. free of cracks, rust and spalling.
