Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter. Here is the information,
corrections or clarifications that you requested.
1. Addressed by others.

3. The Retaining Wall note has been removed from the Architectural Foundation
Plan.
4. The changes to the architectural plans on the first floor have been revised on the
structural plans to address window placement and shearwalls. No changes in
holdowns or shearwall identification are required.

6. A) Members 1-28 and 0-8 has been added to model loads down to the footing.
The 4x10 member has been upsized to a 5 1/8 x 9 GLB. Please see the attached
member calculations.
B) The F1.5 footing has been upsized to a F2 and the F2 footing has been
upsized to a F2.5.
C) Member 1-1 has been attached with representative upper floor loading. The
forces of member 1-1 are sufficiently resisted by a footing F2.
D) Member 1-4 has been revised to address loading. A F2.5 footing has been
called out at the end of member 1-4 on sheet S4.
7. A) A shearwall has called out on the north portion of the Garage on sheet S5.
B) The hanger HHUS has been revised to a HGU hanger on sheet S5.
C) Rafters have been called out in this location on sheet S5.
D) Detail BHS is called out on S1 in GENERAL STURCTURAL NOTES 4 WOOD
FRAMING --> WALL FRAMING & BEARING. Detail BHS on sheet S2 outlines
required studs. In the case of member 1-1, (3) 2x6 studs are required.
E) Member 1-1 requires a HGU hanger and has been called out on S5.
F) The same procedure required for comment #7-D) is used for member 1-2.
The post call out has been revised to a 4x6 at this location because it exceeds
the minimum required studs.

G) Member 1-4 has been revised to address loading. Please see the attached
calculation.
H) Member 1-4 requires a HGU hanger and has been called out on S5.
I) Detail BHS on sheet S2 outlines required studs. In the case of member 1-1, (3)
2x6 studs are required.
J) The member in this location has made continuous and requires a 4x6 post.
Member calculation 1-5a was used to check span loading.
8. A) A mixture of both flush rim and dropped headers will be used. The SYMBOL
LEGEND 4 BEAM or HEADER callout has been revised on sheet S5 and S6.
Attached are the revised header calculations.
B) Girder Trusses 2-5 and 2-11 do not converge, but bear adjacently. Hangers
and manufacturer note callout has been placed for clarity.
