Dear Ms. Johnson,
The City has received a complaint regarding sandwich board (A frame) signs causing traffic and parking hazards at the
subject property.
The following Edmonds Community Development Code (ECDC) applies as follows:
ECDC 20.60.080.A.2.a – sandwich board (A frame) signs not permitted in CG zone*
Corrective actions required:
Please remove any A frame signs from the exterior of the subject property by November 1, 2004.
*Please note that the City acknowledges that other prohibited A frame signs may exist on Highway 99 or other parts of
Edmonds. It is also acknowledged that A frame signs may exist in Snohomish County (Esperance), Lynnwood,
Shoreline and Mountlake Terrace that border Highway 99 and abut Edmonds. The City of Edmonds investigates and
enforces the sign code when a written “request for code enforcement action” is received. The enforcement action is
limited to the approximate vicinity of the subject property.
