Site plan.  I had already included a 1”:20’ scaled picture in the earlier submission.  It is a drawing of the deck and the property line and it is to scale.  The property itself is too large to do its entirety to scale, so I just did the deck and property line.  Let me know if you need the house, the pond, the drive, or what else needs to be included to scale.  Not sure why as you have all the tax parcel info already. Minimum setback was already shown in the previously submitted drawings.  Upper and lower deck edges.  Honestly, seems obvious from the drawings, but I labeled them.  Upper deck footings were already shown. Lower deck footings.  Decking is not removed and the deck is just barely off the ground so not sure where all the footings are.  The lower deck was built on 2x8 joists, 16 OC, also already included in the previous submissions.   Please let me know before Friday if there is anything else that requires submission.   Tracy M Heims 206-499-0414 From: "Nelson, Denise" <Denise.Nelson@edmondswa.gov> Date: Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 10:55 AM To: "Tracy M. The letter explains the need for all the items we requested. I have attached a copy to this email. Please address the issues, and resubmit the new plans. Please read the attached and email me back if it is still unclear. Denise     From: Tracy M. There are comments from planning that need to be addressed. Please address all 3 items in the review letter: 1) Scope of work. 2) Site Plan and 3) Status of deck.  Please resubmit the appropriate info in duplicate and we can put it back in for another review. Also, engineering has not completed their review as they need an accurate site plan to do so.    Decks valuations are determined by size, a 1000 sq. foot deck is valued at $20.00 per square foot.   Here is a breakdown of the charges:   $35.00 Technology Fee $427.00 Permit Fee $278.00 Plan Review Fee $6.50 State Building Code Surcharge   Also, to define: “New Decking” is the replacement products on deck, “adding” is the railing etc.   I hope this info helps understand the process. Where did you come up with the $20,000 valuation?  I purchased all materials for less than $7,000 and I am going to do the labor myself.  Maybe $10,000 total.     I am not changing anything on the decking. I am replacing old, rotted decking and reinforcing the upper deck by replacing the original 2x4 posts and the rotted upper decking.  All was previously existing and your office previously approved the decking that was done in 2012.  Your description says new decking and adding to old deck.  I am not adding to the old deck.  I am replacing old wood and replacing old, rotted supports.  Please give me a call to discuss as to how I move forward with this extremely simple, but important project.    I need to get this completed asap as I have my elderly parents (both 85 yo) living with me, along with my 7 year old daughter.  It is extremely dangerous to not have this completed.     Tracy   206-499-0414   On Oct 8, 2018, at 3:28 PM, Nelson, Denise <Denise.Nelson@edmondswa.gov> wrote:     Hello,   Attached is our Consolidated Plan Review Cover Letter with instructions on how to obtain department review status and/or comments that need to be addressed.   Thank you,     Denise Nelson Permit Coordinator City of Edmonds 121 5th Ave North, 2nd floor Edmonds, WA 98020 (425)771-0220 Development Services Hours: Monday & Tuesday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM WEDNESDAYS (counter) hours are 8:30-Noon Thursday & Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM There is a 3% fee for all credit cards       <Plan_Review_Comment_Cover_Letter_BLD20181251.pdf>
