Hi Richard,
I have nearly completed my review of the main building, and have a couple of items to resolve before I can approve my
review for the Building Division.
1.The revised energy form for lighting shows existing lighting for only a few rooms, but should cover the entire
daycare area. On the form, note d. says “If less than 60% of existing fixtures will be replaced, provide total
existing wattage.” Please revise the form to show the total existing wattage, and the total proposed wattage,
which cannot be more than the existing.
2.Once the proper wattage numbers are determined on the form, verify that the plans reflect the allowed
lighting.
3.On plan sheets A-4 and A-5, most if not all of the can lights are noted as “circle 2”, which in the lighting legend
indicates a new fixture. There are about 36 of these units by my count. Please verify whether or not they are
indeed new, and verify on the form the actual number of each fixture type proposed.
Once you have the revised lighting form done, I think you may wish to come to the permit center and make the minor
lighting revisions to the plans as you have done before. I will hold my review open until I hear back from you as to how
you wish to proceed.
