Call to Order
Jerry called the meeting to order at 4:02

Kim introduced herself - she is Recreation Coordinator for City of Edmonds and will
be helping with the Columbarium expansion project.
Approval of Minutes - October 15, 2020 (no additions or corrections)
Chair Report
• Jerry reviewed the Columbarium planning meeting at the Cemetery on November
18 with Angie, Rich, Cliff and Kim. (See under old business)
• Talked about adding Board Member names to the monument next to the Cemetery
building. We will talk about this more in January and in the meantime look at the
marker for the last name added and compile the list of members to be added.
Finance Report:

Staff Report:
• Rich reports that Kyle Holifield, seasonal staff support for Cemetery, has his last
day on November 13. Kyle would like to come back for the summer season. He
was well liked and a hard worker.
• Cliff, Cemetery Sexton, stayed at the Cemetery until 6pm on Halloween when he
locked the gates. It was a quiet night with no damage done.
Sales Report - no report at the time of the meeting.
Old Business:

Angie outlined the Columbarium expansion process
• Permitting- Angie and Kim will be working on this.
• Project goes out to bid; Angie and Kim will be putting the Bid Package
together.
• Checking in with City Council to keep them informed and updated on the
project.
• Get contract signed.
• Angie and Kim will be working on a timeline for the project and how it will
fit into other projects in the City. They will have a timeline for the Board to
review in January 2021.
• The Cemetery Board will serve as an advisory board in the scope of Phase 2
and make a formal recommendation to City Council for the project.
• Kim sent Board members the quote she received form Quiring Monuments
for doing the project.
Advertising - We have money in our advertising budget for 2020 to cover running
an ad in the Beacon for the month of December. Joan will obtain cost for the ad
and also contact My Edmonds news.com to enquire about the status of our ad with
them.
New Business:
• Election for 2021 officers for the Cemetery Board. Jerry Janacek will continue as
Chair, Tracy Little for Vice Chair and Kerry Radley for Secretary. All were
unanimously voted in.
Announcements:
• Ashley mentioned taking her daughter to visit a grave on Dia de Los Muertos and
having trouble finding the grave site. Rich explained the ongoing input of grave
sites into Pontem which will make finding a grave easy in the future.
