Citizens Committee on Mayor's
Climate Protection Agreement
Mission of the CPS is to (7) Encourage citizens to be a part of the solution, (2) Encourage
City staff and citizens to conserve current resources, (3) Work with the City Council to im-
plement ideas, and (4) Effectively address the future impacts of climate change

• Citizens: Hank Landau, T.C. Richmond, Dawna Lahti, Cynthia Pruitt, Lisa Herb, Bryn
Chighizola, David Schaefer
• Council Rep: Absent
• Staff: Kernen Lien
• Guests: None
1. Call to Order, Review of Agenda, & Introductions: The regular meeting of the
CPC was called to order at 8:30 am on a zoom video call initiated by the City. At-
tendees introduced themselves.
2. Approval of March 2021 meeting minutes: Unanimously approved with two
minor changes.
3. Changes in CPC: Jenna Nand resigned. T.C. Richmond no longer co-chair and will
be travelling for May 6th meeting — new member Bryn Chighizola will help facili-
tate the May 6th meeting with support from Lisa Herb and Cynthia Pruitt (not
available weekdays). Dawna will continue to take minutes.
4. City Report: Kernen discussed with group what worked well for the workshop;
the survey; how to more than 40 people to attend next event.
5. City Council Report: This item was deferred to May 6th meeting.
6. Other City Actions for CPC to track: Group will be polled about taking a lead
position on other city activities, i.e., tree code, housing, transportation, etc. T.C.
will consolidate list.
7. Potential Future Meeting Guests: Yes, group would like to invite guests, some
suggestions:
a. Stan Gent, Snohomish County
b. Autumn Salamack, Shoreline
c. Diversity Commission, Youth Commission, Parks representative
d. Bob McChesney, Port
e. Phil Williams/Bertrand Hauss
8. Announcements: T.C. will be participating on April i7, 2021 in the University of
Washington's Climate Change conference speaking about local action.

10. Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 9:30 am
