The Edmonds Citizens' Tree Board Meeting was called to order at 6:03 p.m. by Co -Chair Frank Caruso via Zoom
Meeting.

CALL TO ORDER:
Meeting called to order by co-chair Frank at 6:03 pm
ROLL CALL:
6 board members were present.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA:
Agenda approved as presented.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
The March meeting notes were approved with no corrections or omissions noted. Will forward to Jana.
AUDIENCE COMMENTS:
Guests at the meeting were Kent Hargrave and Lisa Dulude
OLD BUSINESS:
A. City Council Presentation:
Donna has prepared a PPP to present to the City Council on April 6th. Donna has accepted suggested changes
or additions to the PPP and will include them in the presentation.
B. Status of tree code:
Diane reported the CC is continuing work on the phase 1 amendments and are not looking at phase 2 later in the
year after phase 1 is complete.
C. Publication Center:
Nothing to date, Donna is open to ideas and suggestion on how to accomplish this activity.
D. Earth Day April 24, 2021 status
Tree Board members will be assisting at two location that day. Location will be Yost Park and the Edmonds
Marsh.
Tree Board will provide refreshments and help with volunteer registration.
NEW BUSINESS:
A. Lisa Delude Office of Energy and sustainability Snohomish County:
Lisa's' presentation was moved to the top of the agenda. Lisa gave an outstanding PPP covering the many
aspects that her department is involved in. The presentation covered approximately the first 45 minutes of the of
the meeting. Several questions were asked by Tree Board members, Bill, Suzanne and Ross as well as Diane,
Council Liaison, after the presentation and were discussed at length. Tree board will continue to look for ways to
partner with Lisa's Department from Snohomish County.
B. Claudia Turner, Shoreline group will present in May.
Claudia had sent an email to the Tree Board asking for feedback. The group is Save Our Trees and is a private
citizens group in Shoreline whose goal is to protect the trees in the Shoreline community. They are not associated
with the City of Shoreline. Tree Board will work to become more informed about the group before the may Tree
Board meeting.
TREE BOARD MEMBER COMMENTS
Diane invited the Tree Board to the new Waterfront Center virtual tour on April 15th
Co-chair Barbara Chase will lead May and June meetings
