I would suggest that we notify Mr. Rod Garretson, Parks and Recreation Depart-
ment of the City of Edmonds, that:
1. We do not have voter approval to sell Edmonds Elementary
and it will be unlikely that this can be obtained until
at least November.
2. It would seriously reduce the value of Edmonds Elementary
School, to a prospective buyer, to sell the playfield
separately. (I would advise against any attempt to sell
separately.)

The Parks and Recreation Department of the City of Edmonds desires
to proviAe a lawn bowling facility for the residents of the area, primarily
the senior citizen residents. The most ideal piece of land, from our view-
point, is the grass field immediately to the east of the vacated Edmonds
Elementary School.
We are gathering date in preparation for a proposed park improve-
ment bond issue this November. We need to know whether or not this parcel
of land would be sold by the Edmonds School District as a parcel separate
from the remainder of the elementary school site. And, of course, a deter-
mination of that cost as soon as possible.
Would you please determine if the grass field would be sold to the
City? I would appreciate this information by August 7th, if possible.
