Please see my notes below. Thanks. Richard Dumo / Snohomish County PUD No Distribution Engineering Services 1802 75th St. SW, Everett WA 98206 Office: 425-783-5110 From: Edmonds Engineering Permits<EngineeringPermits@edmondswa.gov> Sent: Thursday, April 29, 2021 5:30 PM To: Dumo, Richard <RSDumo@SNOPUD.com> Cc: Joint Use <JointUse@SNOPUD.com> Subject: PUD ROW Permit for BO Pole at Sunset & Bell - ENG2020-0476 CAUTION: THIS EMAIL IS FROM AN EXTERNAL SENDER. Do not click on links or open attachments if the sender is unknown or the email is suspect. Hi Richard, I have some questions/updates for this application. 1) The City does not want to pursue the option to have PUD and the other utility providers on this pole undergrounding across Sunset. Thank you for providing the cost estimate. You are welcome, thank you for letting me know. 2) The streetlight arm shown on the plans is 20'. Is this the longest arm that PUD can put on this type of pole? Yes. Is there a 25' arm? No, 20' is the longest mast we have. Will the bulb be an LED bulb? Yes, same as it is currently, an LED. 3) Would it be possible to add a streetlight on the secondary pole on the other side of Sunset? No, the secondary pole is too short and not in good condition. 4) The City would like a bulb -out ADA ramp at this location. Similarly to the pole at 2nd and Bell, PUD to pay the City $7000 and then City would install this ramp at a later date and just have PUD place hot mix asphalt for temporary restoration of the ramp after removing the pole that is in the ramp. Would PUD consider this option for the ADA ramp? Yes, just let me know or Beth Haskins when you want PUD to pay the $7,000. a. I am still working with our engineer to confirm that the proposed pole location (15' east of the existing pole) will work with the bulb -out design. If for some reason it does not and the City needs an adjustment to this location (likely just east -west), then I will let you know. Natalie, Could you send me a copy of a "Bulb -out" design? I have never heard about it and as far as the location of that pole (15' east from existing), That is the farthest I can go towards east and still be able to attach a 20' long Streetlight to illuminate Sunset Ave. Regarding the Phase 4 OH to UG application (ENG2020-0502), I hear you have some questions about my comments on your resub. I have been meaning to call you, but again things have been a bit crazy! I should have time to chat tomorrow. Feel free to call me. Natalie, I really would like to talk to you after you have reviewed my (2) separate emails for Phase 1&2 and Phase 4 answers. Thanks!
