Chair Report
• Jerry spoke about possible changes that might come in the future to the manner in which cemeteries do
burials and inurnments.
Finance Report:
Reviewed. Tracy mentioned that in the reports, there was not a report with budgeted projections and
what the actuals were. Angie said that she will have such a report prepared and will present it at our
March 2021 board meeting.
Staff Report:
• Angie reported that things are going well with the cemetery. She also mentioned that Rich Lindsay will
be asking Cliff to begin writing down all the various projects, ways he has of doing various things,
information, etc., so that this can all be collected and prepared for when Cliff retires.
• Kim mentioned that the Sales/Burials Chart has been changed to reflect the manner in which the
figures are to be presented - per the discussion at the January 2021 board meeting.
Sales Report - Sales and Services report as of January 31, 2021. This report shows the old column

Old Business:
• Advertising - Kim gave a report on what was discussed at the Advertising Committee meeting last
Thursday, February 11. The main question looked at was what should be the goal of
advertising/publicity? Is it for sales? To educate people about the rich history of the cemetery? To
advertise the various events held at the cemetery? Jerry ask that write-ups about the various ideas for
advertising and publicity about the cemetery/history be submitted at our next meeting. We are to send
them to Kim and she will compile them and have them as part of our next meeting's packet.
• Columbarium - Angie reported that the city will be putting out bids in March for the Civic Park project.
By the end of April, it will be known if the Civic Park project will happen right away, which if so, would
push back the Columbarium project. She also reported that the permitting won't be significant for the
Columbarium project.
• Pontum - Kim will find out from Cliff what percentage of the data entry into Pontum has been finished
so far and report back at the March meeting.
New Business:
Memorial Day event - Melissa reported that she was in contact with the VFW for their input on this
event. Because of the uncertainty of whether or not the normal event can take place due to COVID, the
board discussed the possibility of having a scaled down version of the event and have it videoed ahead
of Memorial Day and televised on Memorial Day on channel 21. Joan will contact a professional
videographer she knows about possibly doing this. This will be on our March board meeting's agenda.
Walk -Back -In -Time event - Betty has several good ideas on who to feature at this year's event. She will
email us all a report on people buried in the cemetery to highlight for the event. The Edmonds
Cemetery Board may want to choose Pioneers as our theme this year. It was decided to discuss this at
our March board meeting.
