An Ordinance levying the general taxes for the City of
Edmonds for the fiscal year commencing January,191925 on all taxable
property, both real and personal in said city, subject to taxation
therein for the purpose of raising sufficient revenue to carry on
the different departments of said City for the ensuing year as
required by the Laws of the State of Washington, prescribing arA
apportioning the same into the different funds of said city for
said fiscal year, providing for the collection thereaf and repeal-
ing all ordinances in.conflict therewith,
Whereas, on the 7th day of October,1924, the City Council
of the City of Edmonds did, duly and regularly adopt the; estimate
of the amounts required to meet the public expenses of said city for
the ensuing year and the amount to be raised by taxation in said city
for the said ensuing year from sources other than by direct taxation,
ands.
Whereas, notice that said City Council tentatively,
completed the budget of the City of Edmonds for the year 1925 an d
that a copy of said budget would be furnished any tax payer of the
City of Edmonds upon application therefor and that the City Council
would meet in the Council room of the City Hall at 8: 00 P.M. October,
7,1924 for the purpose of fixing the final budget and designating the
tax levies; and that any tax payer might appear thereat and be heard
for or against any part of said budget , was published in the official:
newspaper of said city in all respects as required by law, and,.
Whereas, said City Council did on said October,7,1924 ,meet
in the City Hall of said city at 8:00 P.M. for the purposes aforesaid
and having heard all persons appearing in favor of or against said
proposed tax levy, did there and then make, determine amJ d decide the
amount of taxes to be placed upon the current assessment rolls to be
in the sum of `w , apportioned as hereinafter described
now therefore.
AS FOLLOWS:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMOPDS
Section 1 : That there be and is hereby levied upon the
real_ and personal property in the City of Edmonds, subject to taxation
therein a general property tax for municipal purposes for the ensuing
year and commencing January,1,1925, in the sum of $ Z� (L�L�
Section 2 : Said taxes shall be apportioned to the various
funds of said ci y for said ear a.s follows:

Section-Z :' That the City Clerk, be and he hereby is
directed to certify to the County Assessor a copy of this ordinance in
order that the same may be extended upon the general assessment roll
of said. County in the same manner and at the same. time that the levy for
state and county purposes is extended.
Section4 : That said taxes shall be collected and paid, into
the City Treasury at the time and in the manner provided by the laws of
the State of Washington, relating to collection of taxes in cities of the
Third Class.
Section 5: All ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same
are hereby repealed.
