An Ordinance levying the general taxes for the City of li'd-
monds for the fiscal year commencing January 1, 1926, on all tax-
able property, both real and personal, in said. city, subject to tax-
ation therein for the purpose of raising sufficient revenue to car-
ry on the different departments of said City for the ensuing year
as required by the laws of the state of prescribing
and apportioning the same into the different funds of said city
for said fiscal year, providing for the collection thereof and
repealing all ordinances in conf lict there'v�,ith.
WHIEMEAS, on the 6th day of October, 1925, the City Council
of the City of EdLnonds did, duly and, regularly adopt the estimate
of the amounts required to meet the public expenses of sbid city
for the ensuing year and the amount to be raised by taxation in
said city for the saidlensuing year from sources other than by di-
rect taxation, and
WHI"I"REAS, notice that said Oity Council tentatively complet-
ed the budget of the City of Edmonds for the year, 1926 and that a
copy of said budget would be furnished any tax payer of the City,
of Everett upon application thereof and that the Oity Uouncil would
meet in the Council room of the City Hall at eight o'clock k. lug®
October 5, 1925, for the purpose of fixing the final budget and des-
ignating the tax levies, and that any to payer might appear there-
at and be heard, for or against any part of said budget �las published,
in the official newspaper of said city in all respects as re�u.,ed
by law; and
WHEIREAS, said City Council did on October 5, 1925, meet in
the City Hall of said city at 8 o'clock P. 1A. for the purpose afore-
said and there not being present a quorum of said Council at that
time, the Council having adjourned until October 6, 1925, at 8
o'clock P. M.; and
WHERBAS, said City Council did, on October Via, 1925, east
in the City y Hall of said: city &' M. for the purpose
aforesaid and having heard all persons appearing in favor of or
against said proposed tax levy, did there and hen make, determine
and decide the amount of taxes to be placed upon the ourrent
