AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING THE ELECTRICAL CODE BY THE ADOPTION OF
THE 1968 EDITION OF THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE
AND THE 1968 EDITION OF THE STATE CODE FOR INSTALL-
ING ELECTRIC WIRES AND EQUIPMENT.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Edmonds City Code, Section 11.04.170,
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"11.04.170 National Electrical Code 1968
adopted. That certain printed code, three copies
of which are and have been on file in the office of
the City Clerk for the use and examination of the
public, being marked, printed and designated as the
National Electrical Code 1968, copyrighted in 1968
by the National Fire Protection Association, is hereby
adopted by reference and incorporated herein as if
fully set forth in this Chapter."
Section 2. The Edmonds City Code, Section 11.04.190,
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"11.04.190 State Code adopted. That certain
document, three (3) copies of which are on file in
the office of the City Clerk of the City of Edmonds,
being marked and designated as the State of Wash-
ington Department of Labor and Industries, Electri-
cal Inspection Division, Rules and Regulations for
Installing Electric Wires and Equipment and Adminis-
trative Rules, and dated March 1, 1968, be and the
same is hereby adopted as a part of the Electrical
Code of the City of Edmonds; and each of the regula-
tions, provisions, conditions and terms of said State
of Washington Rules and Regulations on file in the
office of the City Clerk are hereby referred to,
adopted and made a part hereof, as if fully set forth
herein. Any amendments and additions to said State
Regulations hereafter made shall, when printed and
filed in triplicate with the City Clerk, become and
shall be considered and accepted as amendments and
additions to the Electrical Code of the City of
Edmonds, without further adoption of such amendments
and additions by said city."
