AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1389 BEING THE 1969 BUDGET
TO AUTHORIZE EXPENDITURES FROM THE STREET DEPART-
MENT FOR TRAFFIC SAFETY CONTROL STUDIES FROM FUNDS
RECEIVED IN EXCESS OF ESTIMATED REVENUES.
WHEREAS the City of Edmonds has received a grant
from the United States Department of Transportation, Federal
Highway Administration, National Highway State. Bureau in the
sum of $14,280.00 which grant is administered by the Washington
State Traffic Safety Commission, and
WHEREAS, said sum was not anticipated at the time of
preparation or adoption of the 1969 budget, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Ordinance No. 1389, adopting the 1969 budget, be and
the same is hereby amended by the inclusion therein the sum
of $14,280.00 in the classification of Maintenance and Operation
of the Street Department Fund a new item hereinafter referred
to as Traffic Safety Control Study and expenditures from said
item are hereby authorized pursuant to the applicable federal
and state standards and conditions relative to the grant of
said $14,280.00.
