Ordinance 1465ORDINANCE NO. 4 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1458 AND SECTION 6.20..030 OF THE EDMONDS CITY CODE BY REDESIGNATING THE "SEWER SERVICE" CHARGE AS THE "UTILITY" CHARGE. WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds operates a combined water and sewerage system including sanitary sewage collection, treatment,. disposal and outfall, together with storm and surface water collection and disposal, and WHEREAS, said combined water and sanitary and storm sewerage system is in part financed by what has heretofore been referred to as the "sewer service" charge, which would be more accurately referred to as a "utility" charge, now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 6.20.030 of the Edmonds City. Code, and Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1458, be and the same hereby are amended to read as follows: "Section 6.20.030 Utility Charges. A. Generally. The utility charges hereinafter set forth shall be added to and made a part of monthly rates for water supplied through the meters as hereinbefore set forth: a. Residence, single family, duplex, apart- ment houses and other multiple units, ex- cept hotels, tourist camps, trailer parks and motels. b . Hotels c. Tourist courts, motels, trailer parks NOT CONNECTED CONNECTED .$2.00 per month per unit $3.00 per month per unit $3.00 plus $.50 each room $3.00 plus $1.05 each unit NOT CONNECTED ICONNECTED d. Schools e. Office buildings f. Business, Commercial g. Manufacturing and Industrial h. Taverns, Restaurants, Service .Stations i. Laundries, Laundromats, Car Washes, Super Markets -- $20.00 per month minimum plus $.20 per month per stu- dent, based on the architect's rated capacity of the school; if double shift- ing is effected, then, in that event, the stu- dent count will be the average daily attendance for the month preceding the billing. Dur- ing months school is not in session, minimum charge of $20.00 per month will be applied. $2.00 plus $.65 for each additional office in the same building; by addi- tional office is meant an office operated separate and apart from other offices in the same building. $2.00 per each bus- iness even though they are in the same building. $3.00 plus $1.05 for each addit- ional office in the same building. $3.00 per each business even though they are in the same building. - $6.00 for all types of in- dustrial and manufacturing concerns, except as specified in the last para- graph hereof. $6.00 per month. -- $10.00 or 1/3 of the water bill, whichever is greater. -2- NOT CONNECTED CONNECTED j.
