AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
ANNEXING FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES CERTAIN STREETS
AND HIGHWAYS CONTIGUOUS TO THE EXISTING CITY
LIMITS.
WHEREAS the City Council by Resolution No. 225 passed
on the 5th day of May, 1970, set a public hearing for the
16th day of June, 1970, for the purpose of hearing
arguments for and against the annexation of certain streets
and highways described herein below, and
WHEREAS notice of said public hearing having been duly
posted and published, and the board of review having been
waived in writing as provided by law, and
WHEREAS the City Council having found it in the public
interest for strictly municipal purposes, traffic control and
development of utilities that the following described property
should be annexed to the City of Edmonds, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
For strictly municipal purposes the following described
property located in Snohomish County, State of Washington,
be and the same is hereby annexed to said City of Edmonds:
Beginning on the corporate limits line of the
City of Edmonds, at a point which is the
intersection of the centerline of U. S.
Highway 99 with the Southeasterly prolongation
of the Westerly right-of-way line of Edmonds
Way (SR 104); thence Northwesterly, along
said prolongation and the Westerly right-
of-way line of Edmonds Way (SR 104) ; to an
intersection with the North right-of-way
line of 240th Street S. W.; thence Easterly,
along the North right-of-way line cf 240th
Street S. W. produced, to an intersection
with the Easterly right-of-way line of Edmonds
Way (SR 104); thence Southeasterly, along the
Easterly right-of-way line of Edmonds Way
(SR 104) and the Easterly prolongation thereof,
to an intersection with the centerline of U. S.
Highway 99; thence Southerly, along the center-
line of U. S. Highway 99, to the Point of
Beginning.

This Ordinance shall become effective the day following 5 days
after its publication, to wit: June 30, 1970.
