AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
ANNEXING FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES A PORTION OF
COUNTY ROAD (98th AVE. SOUTH, EXTENDED) CONTIGU-
OUS TO THE EXISTING CITY LIMITS.
WHEREAS, the City Council by Resolution No. 235 passed
on the 5th day of January, 1971, set a public hearing for the
16th day of February, 1971, for the purpose of hearing argu-
ments for and against the annexation of a portion of county
road described herein below, and
WHEREAS, this proceeding is by virtue of RCW 35A.14.300,
Snohomish County not having established a boundary review
board, and pursuant to RCW 35A.14.220 this proceeding not
being subject to review by an annexation review board, and
WHEREAS, the City Council having found it in the public
interest for strictly municipal purposes, maintenance of
utilities and entrance identification that the following
described property should be annexed to the City of Edmonds,
now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
For strictly municipal purposes the following described
property located in Snohomish County, State of Washington,
be and the same is hereby annexed to said City of Edmonds:
That portion of 98th Ave. So. between the northerly
right-of-way line of Edmonds Way (Secondary State
Highway No. 1-W) and the South boundary line of
plat of Olympic View Estates No. 1, extended, as
recorded in Volume 18 of plats, page 14, Snohomish County,
Washington, all situate in Section 36, Township 27,
Range 3 EWM, Snohomish County, Washington.
This ordinance shall become effective five days after
its publication.
